How to Run a Tabletop Storytelling Game for Beginners

Storytelling games need only a few rules and a willing group.

Before the session

Choose a setting and explain it in a few sentences. Prepare three or four situations that could start a scene.

During play

Ask each player what they do, and describe the result. Keep scenes short, and give everyone a turn.

Afterwards

Ask what people enjoyed and what they want next time.
